Everyone remember this ----- WWJD?
I have been hearing some say this again recently. It got me to thinking, which usually gets me in trouble with some. Oh well!
Maybe you wore a bracelet, necklace, t-shirt, had a notebook, bumpersticker, something that had those letters on it. They were put there, likely by you, to remind you to act in a way that would represent Jesus in all of your actions and conversations. Not a bad idea at all. We should be attentive to those things.
I heard someone say it this way ---- to do what Jesus did, you have to do what Jesus did!
At one place Jesus said He only did what He saw Father do. In another place, Jesus said that He only spoke those things He heard Father say. Those are two very crucial points to Doing What Jesus Did. It tells me He was in a close, personal relationship with Father to see and hear Him do and say. In another place, Jesus said He didn't come with His own initiative, or agenda, so His judgement was just. We can't have our own plan, or ulterior motives, or we aren't able to judge justly and righteously.
So, when we ask ourselves that question, or we hear someone else ask us, or themselves, that question --- WWJD --- here is how to determine it. If you and I are in a close, personal relationship with our Father to see Him and hear Him, and you and I don't have our own plan, or agenda, then we can Do What Jesus Did, and act accordingly!
Thanks for your time. Blessings to all!!!
